Terms of Service
Last updated: September 17, 2026
These terms govern use of UserBadge (userbadge.cc, the dashboard, tweet-to-claim, public hubs, and the badge engine at user.userbadge.cc). By creating an account, installing the script, or using a paid plan, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. UserBadge is operated by Brandon.
1. The product
UserBadge is a drop-in HTML script that shows live visitor presence, lifetime visitor counts, and a map or country bar on sites you control. Install is one script tag with a site id. The engine is served from user.userbadge.cc, not as a first-party file on your domain unless you copy it yourself. Public visitor hubs live on userbadge.cc/{slug}. The badge is social proof software, not an analytics suite, CRM, or advertising network.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep access to your login (Supabase Auth) secure. You are responsible for sites and badges under your account. We may refuse, suspend, or delete accounts that abuse the service, evade message limits, or harm other users.
3. Plans and messages
Free: one badge claimed via sharing on X, one active site, 5,000 messages per month, dark and light themes, and a public hub. Paid: currently $2.99 per month (introductory; listed original price $5.99), billed by Stripe, with unlimited badges and site integrations, 100,000 messages per month, all badge themes, and the option to hide UserBadge branding. A “message” is how we meter live session and related API use (including session-start and live updates). Unused messages do not roll over. Free pools reset on the 1st of each month. Paid pools follow your Stripe billing period. If you run out of messages, the badge may stay visible with lifetime totals while live “who’s here” is frozen until the pool resets or you upgrade. Prices on the marketing site are display copy; the amount Stripe charges is the Stripe Price attached to checkout.
4. Claim flow
A free badge may require a public post on X. Fake, deleted, or unrelated posts may be rejected. Dummy/test verification may exist in non-production environments only.
5. Your websites
You must have the right to place the script on a site. You must not use UserBadge to impersonate others, hide malware, scrape people, or collect sensitive data through the badge. You are responsible for your own privacy disclosures to visitors of your site, including that a third-party badge may count visits and show approximate city-level location.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attack, overload, or reverse-engineer the API, WebSocket, or engine beyond ordinary install. Do not resell UserBadge as your own product without permission. Do not use the service for unlawful tracking, discrimination, or to reveal someone’s precise home address. City-level map points are the intended granularity.
7. Intellectual property
We own UserBadge, the engine, design, and marks. You own your site content. You grant us a license to run the badge for your site ids, store appearance settings, and publish the public hub for that site. The install snippet and engine are provided so you can display the badge, not to copy the service.
8. Payment and cancellation
Paid subscriptions renew until you cancel in the Stripe billing portal or we cancel for violation. You authorize Stripe to charge the payment method on file. Taxes may apply. Refunds are handled case by case; contact us on X. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep paid features until the end of the paid period unless we terminate for misuse.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the engine, API, and hubs available, but we do not guarantee uptime. CDN cache, browser blocking (including ad blockers or strict cross-origin policies), and your own page errors can hide the badge. Frozen mode during overuse is expected behavior, not an outage.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” We do not warrant that counts are complete, that geo is exact, or that showing visitors will increase conversions. Approximate location can be wrong (VPNs, shared IPs, missing headers).
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Brandon and UserBadge are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect damages, or for amounts above what you paid us in the three months before a claim. Some places do not allow these limits.
12. Indemnity
You will defend and hold us harmless from claims arising from your site, your install, or your misuse of visitor data.
13. Changes
We may change the product, these terms, or pricing. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use after the update is acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using UserBadge and cancel billing.
